The African Natural Resources Management and Investment Centre (ECNR), in collaboration with African Fertiliser Financing Mechanism (AFFM), will host a virtual webinar titled “: Unlocking Africa’s Agro-minerals and Natural Gas to Catalyze Investments in Fertilizer Supply Chains for Improved Resilience and Food Security’’.
The webinar will focus on a single, urgent question: How can Africa’s domestic agro-mineral and natural gas resources be systematically converted into fertilizer feedstock to reduce the continent’s costly import dependency and bolster food security?
Drawing on the study “Agro-minerals and natural gas supply-chain analysis for improving food security in Africa”, the webinar will spotlight Africa’s resource potential, unpack key bottlenecks across fertilizer value chains, and explore actionable policy and investment solutions. It will also provide a dynamic platform to test and enrich the study’s recommendations by engaging leading voices from the private sector, finance, and policymaking communities.
