The Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) has announced the postponement of its Construction Expo Africa (CEA).
The expo organised by the institution in conjunction with the Construction and Engineering Digest Magazine (CED) publishers was earlier scheduled to hold between Tuesday March 19 and Thursday 21.
According to a statement signed by Engineer Chukwudi Ezugu, National Chairman of NICE and made available to Daily Independent, the event will no longer take place at the designated period due to circumstances beyond control.
He said that the event has been rescheduled to hold between July 23 and 25 at the Landmark Event Centre, VI, Lagos.
According to Ezugu the event is a rallying point for all stakeholders involved in providing civil infrastructure in the country.
He said that the expo will be an avenue for the exhibition of latest technologies, innovations, products among others in the built environment and engineering developments across the whole world.
Expected at the expo according to him will be professionals in the built environment: Engineers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Town Planners, Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Builders and Real Estate Practitioners as well as manufacturers of equipment, allied products and services, Products Marketing and Sales Companies, Energy and Power Companies, Building and Construction Materials Companies.
He further pointed out that there will be an organized lecture titled; Innovation in Infrastructure Development’ to address the large gathering of exhibitors and attendees.
“Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) regrets to announce the postponement of the Construction Expo Africa (CEA) 2024. Any inconveniences arising from this postponement to our numerous stakeholders and participants are highly regretted,” the statement reads in part.
