DXN Holdings Bhd is expanding its manufacturing operations into North Africa with a new production facility in Meknes, Morocco, as the wellness products manufacturer seeks to strengthen its reach across Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
The company said Moroccan authorities have approved the project, with construction permits issued and building work underway at an 80,765-square-metre site in Agropolis Industrial Park.
The facility will manufacture Spirulina- and Ganoderma-based products, two of DXN’s core product lines, and is expected to create approximately 250 jobs.
DXN is working with the Moroccan government to finalise an investment agreement covering potential subsidies and incentives for the project.
The company described Morocco as a strategic base for serving North African, European and Middle Eastern markets. Local production is expected to shorten supply chains, reduce operating costs and improve access to regional customers.
Manufacturing Network Expansion
The Morocco project forms part of DXN’s broader plan to expand its global manufacturing network from 14 factories to 21.
For the financial year ending February 28, 2027, the company has allocated capital expenditure of up to RM500 million for manufacturing expansion in Malaysia, Brazil, Morocco, Peru and Bolivia, alongside plantation development and market expansion initiatives.
Morocco is currently DXN’s largest market in Africa. The company has also expanded into Algeria, Ghana and Zambia, and plans to enter Tunisia as it develops its regional distribution network.
The group’s international presence is growing. The number of countries in which DXN operates directly increased from 54 to 59 in the financial year ended February 28, 2026.
The new Moroccan plant is expected to strengthen the company’s regional supply capabilities while supporting its wider international growth strategy.
