AGL Benin and Benin Terminal, subsidiaries of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), took part in and contributed to the success of the 12th edition of Rencontres Africa 2024: the business event for success in Africa, held in Benin.

The event was organised at the Palais des Congres in Cotonou, from 09 to 11 July 2024, by the International Association of French-Speaking Regions (AIRF) to coincide with the Semaine de la Francophonie des
territoires, under the patronage of President Mr. Patrice Talon, in partnership with the French Embassy
in Benin and several major companies and institutions, according to a press release received by APA.

The text adds that the Africa Meetings brought together a hundred or so French and foreign decision-makers who were sent to Cotonou for the occasion, as well as a number of institutional and sectoral players and investors from Benin, Africa and elsewhere, to boost North-South and South-South partnerships in view of the prospects and economic opportunities offered by Benin in the logistics, digital, agriculture, agri-food, water, sanitation, energy and tourism sectors, among others. through various B2B networking meetings between professionals from the identified sectors.

AGL, committed to improving connectivity and developing a sustainable logistics ecosystem in Africa, took an active part in this event through its subsidiaries in Benin. The delegation, jointly led by Arnaud Bouhier, Managing Director of AGL’s Benin-Niger cluster and Fabrice Ture, Managing Director of Benin Terminal, was involved in the
various meetings alongside various private investors, international financial institutions and national public authorities.

AGL’s stand in Benin was set up in the multi-purpose hall of the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou and was open to the public throughout the event. It welcomed many visitors over three (03) days, including company directors from abroad, managers of local SMEs and many local partners for B2B meetings with teams from the Logistics Solutions Department (DISL), the Maritime Solutions Department (DISM) and the AGL Benin Sales Department, to discuss business opportunities and customised transport solutions, all of which makes this location, alongside the Port Autonome de Cotonou and MSC, one of the busiest in the area dedicated to logistics.
