MINSK, 11 November — Belarus plans to expand agricultural exports into African and Asian markets, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko said on the sidelines of the Prodexpo 2025 trade show in Minsk.

Shuleiko said Russia remains Belarus’s principal market, but stressed the need to diversify into regions where Belarusian products are less known. He said the government’s export aim is for 60–70% of domestic production to reach foreign markets.

Speaking about the annual fair’s role, Shuleiko said Prodexpo is designed to present Belarus’s full export potential and attract foreign partners and buyers. He added that Belarus expects food exports to reach a record $9 billion this year.

Prodexpo, organized by the National Exhibition Center Belexpo together with the Agriculture and Food Ministry and supported by Belgospishcheprom Concern, gathers producers and suppliers of food and beverages to showcase new products, production technologies and industry solutions.
