The Saudi Export Development Authority ‘Saudi Exports’ is making a significant stride in its commitment to the African market.

Under the ‘Saudi Industry’ banner, Saudi Exports is set to participate in the Construction Expo Africa 2024, a highly esteemed African exhibition in the building and construction sector.

The event, scheduled to be held in Kenya from 5 to 7 June 2024, will feature a pavilion showcasing the competitive products of more than 19 leading national companies in the sector.

The participation of ‘Saudi Exports’ corresponds to its strategic efforts to promote the Kingdom’s export brand in priority export markets and enhance its contribution to the gross domestic product.

Hence, ‘Saudi Exports’ is taking a path toward the African continent per the needs of its diverse and growing markets and its future aspirations, where it employs and harnesses all its capabilities to deliver national products to targeted African markets and seeks to increase the volume of Saudi non-oil exports to the African continent.

The success of Saudi non-oil exports to the African continent is a testament to the authority’s market penetration and potential for further growth.

From 2019 to 2023, the volume of these exports exceeded SAR132 billion.

Petrochemicals and polymers led the list of exported items, followed by the building materials and packaging sectors.

Polypropylene, polyethylene, and fertilizers were the products that were exported the most, showcasing the diversity and quality of Saudi products.

South Africa was among the countries that imported Saudi products, with a total value of SAR11.91 billion, Kenya recorded a total value of SAR7 billion, while Nigeria recorded a value of SAR5.82 billion.
