Construction company Enza Construction has completed the acquisition of Tractionel Enterprise, an electrical infrastructure construction company in South Africa.
Tractionel Enterprise has since 1982 been specialising in electrical infrastructure projects, with a focus on railway and power solutions.
Particularly, the company completed electrification of the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link in 2010.
Enza believes the acquisition will fit with its strategy of becoming the “infrastructure developer of choice”.
Enza in 2014 decided to shift its focus from being a construction services provider to being a provider of infrastructure solutions – with rail infrastructure rehabilitation being a key market.
This transaction also allows Enza to become more involved in the rollout of renewable power solutions.
The 100% black-owned Enza is a subsidiary of Crowie Holdings
